Baluster-shaped vases, the belly adorned with bird decorations in flowered branches and stylized flower scrolls, green pebbled , and blue grid backgrounds. The cover surmounted by a Buddhist lion 's shaped socket.

Provenance : private collection Famille Bruni-Tedeschi, Italy.

These impressively large vases were made in bone China for the European market in the Yong Zheng style (1723-1735). They adorned the large residences of collectors and subscribed to the great Rothschild or Camondo taste, finely blending the classic style of the 18th century with objects representing a certain exoticism.
