Indeed, the tripod legs are scroll-shaped and curve outwards, whereas the majority of Louis XIV-era models have scrolls that curve inwards. A pair of similar torch-style door frames with inwards-curving legs is held at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (inv.
