Pair of covered vases in the taste of Giuseppe Valadier (1762-1839)
Roma, Circa 1780-1785
Vases in Rosso Antico marble. Gilt bronze mounting. On either side a lion's muffle holding rings. Base in sea-green marble adorned with a frieze of ormolu pearls, resting on a cylindrical marble base adorned with ormolu guirlandes and pastilles, and topped by an ormolu quadrangular base with a red marble plinth.
Restoration to a lid.
