Produced by the renowned Meissen Manufactory in Germany, this porcelain is distinguished by its pure white body and its decorations, painted with the utmost finesse. The central cartouches here depict lively landscape scenes, typical of mid-18th-century European taste. The bronze mount, added in France, usually in Paris by a master bronze-smith and marchand-mercier, anchors the pieces firmly in the pure Louis XVI style.
