A fine Régence period console table
Made of carved and gilded wood. Top in yellow and grey breccia marble.
A heavily carved belt, featuring a latticework pattern and a large cartouche depicting hunting motifs, flanked by clasps, acanthus leaves and a shell. The curved side panels, shaped like corbels, are surmounted by cartouches, adorned with scrollwork and finished with cloven feet; they are connected by a cross-brace, also shaped like a corbel, forming a dynamic X-shape centred on an openwork pagoda motif.
