A Regence ormolu-mounted ebonised bureau plat- Attributed to François Lieutaud (1665-1748), under the direction of Noël Gérard - Circa 1720

A Regence period bureau plat,Ebonised wood with brass-inlaid ; chiseled and gilded bronze ornamentation ; the rectangular top with gilt-tooled red leather and moulded brass edge ; the three-drawers opening belt on one side and three others simulated on the other with floral-patterned handles adorned with Apollo masks ; the sides repeat the same decoration above wide handles with satyres’s heads and wrapping leaves of acanthes ; raised on cabriole legs headed by bearded men masks terminated by sabots.

Attributed to François LIEUTAUD (1665-1748), maître at the end of 17th century
