Régence period chest of drawers
Attributed to cabinetmaker Louis Delaitre, received master in 1738.
Rosewood and violetwood veneer. Moulded marble top. Curved bridge front opening with five drawers. Rich ormolu and chased bronze ornamentation including trellis and acanthus leaf motif falls, cartouche-shaped escutcheons and acanthus leaf scrolled sabots.
