Large pair of Louis XVI sconces attributed to the bronzemaker Jean-Joseph de Saint-Germain (1719-1791)

Chased and gilded bronze

A fluted shaft ending in an acanthus leaf motif, adorned with a laurel garland and crowned with a lion's head. Surmounted by a fire pot adorned with a laurel garland. The arms are adorned with large scrolling acanthus leaves, the binnacles with water leaf motifs and gadrooned spouts adorned with acanthus leaves.
