A fine and important Louis XIV period mirror
A double mirror frame with bevelled mirrors, set in moulded, carved and gilded wood, surmounted by a pediment featuring the attributes of Mars and richly decorated with trophies of arms, foliage scrolls and chimeras.
The spandrels feature a decorative motif of ancient helmets and Bérain style mouldings against a trellis background.
