A fine Louis XIV period console table
Carved and gilded wood. Top in red Flemish marble.
A belt with cross-bracing and rosette decorations, openwork at the bottom and adorned with scrolls of acanthus leaves and a woman’s mask. Supported by openwork legs uprights decorated with acanthus leaves and female masks at the top and triangles at the bottom, joined by a scroll-shaped crossbar adorned in the centre with a sunflower.
