Based on the model known as the ‘Trentham Basin’ created by Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1729–1778) from ancient elements found at Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli; former collection of the Duke of Sutherland at Trentham Hall and now at the Bristish Museum in London(Inv. 1907,1214.4)
